Saturn Is A Crazy Place!!!

For anyone who has an interest in astronomy, or just a curious notion, should look at these images of Saturn from the Cassini Space Craft. NASA saw a strange rotating vertex in the south pole of Saturn in 2006. The eye of the hurricane is larger then the entire Earth and the wind speed is twice that of a Category 5 hurricane (550 km/hr or 340 MPH)!

But this isn't the strangest thing. In the 1980's the Voyager 1 Space Craft flew by Saturn's North Pole and spotted a Hexaganal (six sided) Cloud Formation! 20 years after Voyager, the Cassini Space Craft spotted the same, stable, formation and took a series of pictures put together in this animation & still photo:

Fluids have been shown to form polygons (4 or more sided object) when rotating extremely fast:

Hope you found this as interesting as I did (but I doubt it...) 8-)
