This last weekend we got both sides of the Bacon/Syring families together for a 5K (3.1 Mile) walk in Oshkosh. It was great to get everyone up & down to Oshkosh! From the Syring side we had Jennifer & Grandma who came up from IA, Larry & Deb who hosted a dinner the night before & lunch the day of, Chris & Shell who hosted a dinner the night of the 5K, and Mara & I who did nothing other than sign everyone up! From the Bacon's we had Dan & Holly who made the early trip to be in Oshkosh by 7:30, and Sally who came with them, from Hudon, WI.
It was great to see Deb complete the 3 miles without anything more than a little knee pain! We all knew she could do it!

Here is a good picture of all of us after the race. It was a little chilly, especially near the lake, but we talked so much we barley noticed.
We also had a great time playing with 3-Mile Rock. It made the whole journey by everyone taking turns kicking it along the race route. No one ever said we were normal...
We almost lost 3-Mile Rock, but the quick action of Dan & Mara recovered 3MR from the depths of the OshKosh sewer system!
Thanks again for everyone who walked with us!!! Hope to get a few more good run/walks in this summer before we leave!
