Fossil Creek & Super Moon!

This last weekend we took a short (but packed!) trip up North.  We have a group of friends that set up a large venture to Fossil Creek, a gorgeous mountain spring hike with waterfalls and cliff jumping!
Frist, on Saturday we met up at our place and carvan’d up to the Mogollon Rim (or favorite camping destination!).  We got up there just in time to catch the setting sun and set up our tents.  One of the cooler coincidences was the Super Moon that took place while we were there.  The moon was so bright, we barely needed headlamps to walk around the forest!  The light was stunning looking over the valley below.  The next day the moon was just setting as we got up (around 5:30am) just as the sun was rising too!  What an awesome sight!

We set off to catch up with the rest of the hiking group at the trailhead and began the hike.  There was a couple spots we had to wade through water, but that was the whole point of the trip! :)  We came across some awesome waterfalls, and areas we could jump off cliff (some about 30’ high!).  We spent the entire day there (almost 9hrs) hiking, jumping, swimming…it was awesome.

Rohan had an absolute blast while we were there, and really enjoyed the raft someone brought.  We might just have to get him on for the pool this summer!  Rohan has been climbing EVERYTHING lately and he demonstrated how he can climb onto the counters now, pretty effortlessly too.  He even started climbing a small pine tree when we were camping.  He was so excited to get in the water and play.  Too bad he got so cold, he could only be in the water a short time before he started shivering. :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
